Winter Weather 2021

While the last few Januaries have been wishy-washy on the subject of weather, this January wants to let us know it is definitively winter.

In general, cold doesn't bother cows, but icy slopes and deep snow can be problems... especially for a herd that is heavily pregnant! Fortunately, last year we build a barn for this exact purpose -- an open "loafing barn" where the herd could take shelter during especially heavy weather. So the girls are safe and sheltered, and we humans -- well, we're keeping warm as best we can!
