Like many kids around the country, the kids on the farm are going "back to school"... virtually. Compared to a lot of others, we've had an almost idyllic setup for the kids' extended summer: several of the staff have children, and since the adults were all working together in the same "bubble" and the kids weren't being allowed to go anywhere else, they've basically had the run of a few hundred acres of farmland.
Now that the summer's over our staff lunch room is doing double duty as a schoolroom as the kids do virtual classes with their teachers, supervised as necessary by whatever adults are handy. There've been a few (mostly technological) bumps, but overall we've been able to make this bewildering new world a little easier on the young ones. For that, we're very grateful!
